Gabriel Olearnik was born and educated in London, where he studied medieval history. His writing has appeared in The San Diego Reader, Dappled Things, and Radiance. Three of his poems—“The Builders,” “Languedoc,” and “An English Apocalypse”—have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize.

Olearnik recreates medieval artifacts, and his work on Hussar armor was featured in marketing for Lockheed Martin’s F-35 fighter jet. As a commentator on British culture, he has appeared on live television, including during coverage of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. An attorney by profession, he works on art disputes and the recovery of stolen items worldwide. Londoning is his third poetry collection.
