A native of the Pacific Northwest,Steve Chivers has worked as a writer, actor, producer and director on sitcoms, hour dramas, web series, documentaries, unscripted and podcasts. His six-part podcast about the steroid scandal in sports—“American Scandal: BALCO”—was the number two podcast on iTunes, and his most recent podcast, “The Execution of Bonny Lee Bakley” was the #1 podcast in the county. His digital series “Dated”—about an older gay man facing the daunting world of online dating and unexpectedly confronting the legacy of being a survivor of the AIDS crisis—has been in 15 festivals and is streaming at DatedSeries.com. His short film "Glass Half Full," screened at the Golden State Film Festival. In 2025, Steve directed the hit production of the play “The Irish Curse 2.0: The Diverse Curse” at the Broadwater Stage in Los Angeles.
